What is the Annual Fund?

Whitney Young challenged young people to “Stretch your mind and fly.” That’s what being a student here is all about. And it’s exactly what the Annual Fund supports, whether it’s:

• Giving students a place to express themselves, take risks and be inventive through dance, music and art

• Teaching responsibility, leadership and resilience through athletics

• Finding a place to belong, making a difference, and learning social and collaborative skills through clubs

• Challenging students’ minds with an excellent academic experience, including 35 AP classes, rigorous core classes, and opportunities to explore subjects like Engineering and Design, Ethnic Studies, Forensic Science, Economics and 21st Century Multi Media.

• Opportunities to compete and be a part of a team, from our Girls Softball competing for the City Championship, Business Professionals of America competing in a national competition or the Aerospace Club competing in a worldwide event.

On the 100th Anniversary of Whitney Young’s birth, please help assure that our students can continue to “Stretch their minds and fly” by supporting the Annual Fund.
