The Friends of Whitney Young (FoWY) Grant Program is excited to announce that applications are now open for spring grants. This program supports student groups, clubs, academic teams, classes, and extracurricular programs by providing funding for projects, equipment, supplies, and other resources that enhance the overall student experience.
Eligible applicants include students (with approval from a faculty advisor and department head) as well as faculty, staff, or coaches applying on behalf of a team or class. Funding is available for proposals that benefit groups of students, improve access and participation, and support the school’s mission to provide high-quality, inclusive educational opportunities. Whitney M. Young High School’s Sneaker Social, FoWY's largest fundraising event of the year, is happening on Saturday, April 11, 2026 and we want YOU to be part of the excitement! Join us for an unforgettable night at Venue West filled with fun, friends, and celebration. Friends of Whitney Young invites you to our free annual Fall Gathering at Bunker in the West Loop, which is just minutes from the school. Enjoy some delicious light bites and a cocktail, beer, or wine from the cash bar. Bunker features a bar downstairs, as well a gorgeous cafe and outdoor bar at street level. It's the perfect spot to hang out and get to know other Dolphin parents, plus 10% of drink income will go back to Whitney Young!
