 Welcome to the Friends of Whitney Young (FoWY) community! We are a dedicated group of parents, students, alumni, faculty, and staff working for the betterment of Whitney Young High School. We are officially in Back to School mode, which means we’ll be hosting monthly get-togethers and social events for Whitney Young parents and guardians. We’re thrilled to bring some of these events throughout the Chicago area and support our school through various events and campaigns. “Giving back. Paying forward!” is our slogan, and we hope you will join us as we work together for the benefit of all of our children.  This March, get in the Spring Bash spirit as you sip cocktails, enjoy a delicious fare menu, reconnect with friends and make some new ones! There will be student performances, bidding in our silent auction, a raffle drawing, music and dancing!

A new feature is coming to the Aspen Parent Portal that will allow parents and guardians to submit and track student absences electronically without paper forms or phone calls. The new E-Absence feature will be available to Aspen Parent Portal users on October 24, 2022. Log in at ASPEN.CPS.EDU to learn more.
