Welcome to the Friends of Whitney Young (FoWY) community - a wonderful group of dedicated parents, students, alumni, faculty and staff. Back to School usually means monthly social events and gatherings for parents too! While we will miss that opportunity to gather again this fall, we can still work together to support our amazing school through various events and campaigns. Giving back. Paying forward! is our slogan and we hope you will join us as we work together for the benefit of all of our children.

This year is different for sure, and that means our Annual Fund is focused on reopening. But that also means recommitting, responding and reengaging. Creating Community
 
Although we are not yet able to gather together in the school or stages or stadiums, FoWY is committed to building a Purposeful Community among its families, one that continues to celebrate and respect the diversity among us. We want the opportunities in which we interact to be ones where everyone feels welcome and valuable to our school's future. If you have ideas to share or time to give as we launch our virtual communication efforts with our Community, we would love to hear from you! Please reach out to Lynne Radomski if you are interested in being part of our Volunteer team throughout the year.​

Spring Bash

Our biggest social event and fundraiser of the year takes place on May 8, 2021. Whether we meet in person at beautiful Venue West or need to go virtual, we are looking for new committee members and creative ideas to help plan a special and successful event.
